Having stayed in Barcelona before we were impressed by the hotel, particularly the staff who were efficient and friendly. The facilities were good(I could not delete "5" - meant "4"!) - the room very spacious and cool, pleasant, but rather a nasty decorative scar outside! It was in the process of being repaired, i think. Breakfast very good.

Top Tip:
Check before going to the Picasso Museum as it's been closed both times we tried to visit due to feast days/public holidays. The maritime museum is excellent. Don't be fooled by "The Three Cats" Restaurant - we should have spotted trouble when we saw the merchandise. It is a rip-off! Food tired and badly cooked. Mine was overcooked but they did offer us a rebate for the fish course. The Princess Cafe was excellent and was completely the opposite in all respects so I'd recommend this one, as I would any small family-run restaurant in the old quarter.
