Second time I have stayed here and it is ideal and so near all amenities. Staff were very helpful and polite. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. I enjoy it at this hotel and would stay again.

Excellent location. Asked for a quiet room and got one - a very quiet hotel to sleep in. Staff were fine but not overly friendly. Tea and coffee for breakfast were luke-warm to cold and had to go to the kitchen door to ask for fresh hot drinks as nobody was in the dining room for long periods. The breakfast itself was very good and it was great to have it included in the price.
Top Tip
I would definetly recommend this hotel. If you're a light sleeper you'd need to ask for a room away from the main street as it's a really busy one traffic-wise.

My room was tiny, but it had a terrace that was triple the size of the room with great views of the city. The location of this hotel is ideal for seeing downtown -- close to Plaza Catalunya, Picasso Museum, Ramblas, Barri Gotico, etc.
Top Tip
Walk through the tiny streets of the Gothic Quarter -- always something new. Ask the staff to direct you to the Taller de Tapas -- great food.

Only one negative comment. We thought there were not enough staff on reception. However the service from the staff was good.
Would rather have had another chair in the room rather than an exercise bike!

Plenty to see and do in Barcelona.Take the bus tour for one day but otherwise the metro is cheap, clean and seemed efficient when we used it.
Hotel restaurant is reasonably priced but plenty of places to eat, especially at lunchtime, use the salad bar on the right as you leave the hotel, not the tapas bar but the next one. All you can eat for 8 euros 95 or 11euros 20 in the evening

Previous comments persuaded us to book the Mont Blanc.
We were not dissapointed.
Can recommend to all independent travellers.

Two days on tourist bus well worthwhile. Tip: start fairly early to avoid long queue at bus stop.

British/Irish travellers love a cup of tea in the morning at breakfast but there never seemed to be enough hot water, nor staff available to provide it on request. Buffet excellent. A hotel with a very efficient service. Reception staff all have very good English, and are all very helpful. The hotel is quiet at night, rooms are spacious and air conditioned.

An alternative to walking Las Ramblas to the Port,is to walk along the Via Laietana, turning right as you come out of the hotel. There are interesting things to see: Arc De Triomph, Cathedral square, McCarthy's Irish bar. You can take a lift inside the Columbas monument up to his feet to the viewing tower for wonderful bird's eye views of the port.
