This hotel has an awesome location. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Barcelona. The front desk staff were excellent!

central location .. staff really friendly... lots of choice at breakfast. room very clean and everything we needed. glass of cava when we arrived . would stay there again

plenty of reasonable tapas bars just off the ramblas . but watch your valuables

Superb, wonderful welcome with complimentary champagne, staff could not be more helpful or friendly; breakfast superb; the only criticism was that the floor of room and bathroom was not clean; apart from that the rest of the hotel was spotless.

In an ideal area, staff very polite helpfull and informative. Clean and tidy.Glass of Champagne on arrival and coffee or tea avaliable for free throughout the day.

Top Tip
Do the tourist bus routes. We done Red and Blue and we preferred the blue but both worth doing. Try to get on the upper deck as you can see a lot more. First bus in the morning is probably the best as it will be busy throughout the day. Plenty of restaurants (try the small ones down the side streets). Go up the tram then the venicular railway to see the old stile fairground and see the fantastic views over Barcelona. Also the market near the hotel is worth a visit. P.S. Take comfortable walking shoes as can do a few miles if you like walking.

the hotel is on a walking street but the taxi can take you right to door. Really friendly multi-;ingual staff and great breakfasts!

Breakfast so so and overpriced for what was offered. However there is no place nearby other than pasty and coffee-so it was good for convenience factor; Floors in hotel rooms were not swept, gritty feeling when barefoot. Interesting highlight: Each floor had free "left" books that included travel guides or non-fiction in all; languages; Midday free offering of cava (spanish champaigne, nuts, pastry coffee and tea) Self serve. check in staff spoke english fluently; free computer & wi-fi use, slow connection and only one computer to share with others; Area is safe to walk alone;

Top Tip
outstanding restaurants nearby: La Cassola-family run restaurant for lunch -select prix fixe menue 10.50 Euros includes hors'doerves, entree, dessert and wine. Nexes-nouveux Spanish cusine-staff is unfriendly and a bit short but food is very interesting; Going for food not atmosphere

Our room was quite large, with large bath with double vanity. Very clean. Balcony facing street. Location convenient to everything.

Top Tip
Good restaurants and tapas bars very near hotel. Taxi driver insisted he couldn't drive to hotel door (not true), but short walk to hotel. At departure taxi came right to door.
