Our Review

The height of cool modern design in the city centre, within easy walking distance of the Ramblas and across the road from the Gothic Quarter. To promote the feel of a calm, quiet, peaceful retreat, the hotel has dim lighting throughout, accompanied by soothing piped music. Some may find the interior a little dark, but it's certainly relaxing. In summer the rooftop pool is one of the best spots in Barcelona for a great view whilst taking a dip to cool off.

The Grand Central has only recently opened, adding to Barcelona's collection of stylish and cool hotels. Expect simple lines, pronounced lighting effects and a good range of facilities. A main attraction has to be the rooftop "infinity" surrounded by plenty of lounging space and providing fantastic views across the Gothic Quarter and city. There is also a reasonably well equipped gym and restaurant. There are 147 stylish and well equipped rooms.
