Our Review

A great traditional style four star hotel opposite the cathederal in the heart of the Gothic Quarter - excellent city centre location. Staff have a good reputation for helpul and friendly service, the hotel also has a bar and restaurant. Rooms are bigger than most in Barcelona but they do vary a bit because its a historic building. If you are looking for traditional hospitality rather than trendy design the Colon may be for you.

The Hotel is just a few minutes walk from all shopping areas such as El Corte Ingles, located in Plaza Catalunia, in the heart of this historial city. It is located opposite the Grand Cathedral, which dates back to the XIIIth century, a gateway to the Gothic quarters of this romantic city, and within walking distance of the famous Ramblas.

location of the Hotel Colon was perfect ... So central,... This hotel is in a fantastic location ... Great situation, on the square opposite the cathedral.... In the middle of the old town ... Brilliant location right in the centre of things... Wonderful location ... Excellent location right across from the Cathedral ... location couldn't be better... Location very central ... opposite Cathedral ... Very close (400m.)from the Ramblas... Hotel is in wonderful location... easy walking distance of Las Ramblas... Hotel situated in excellent position... great location ...
