Our Review

This is a modern purpose built hotel, though generic in style as opposed to contemporary. It is well situated for the city's attractions, and the rooms are clean and of a good standard. Some guests have reported that the service could have been better, though generally they are happy to recommend the hotel.

This is a relatively new hotel and features all of the latest amenities and conveniences. The rooms are modern and comfortable with contemporary decor and furnishings. The rooftop swimming pool offers stunning views over the city and the solarium and gymnasium are there for the relaxation and enjoyment of guests. This is the ideal retreat for relaxing or as a base to explore the many attractions of this vibrant and historic city. The Universal is a non smoking hotel.

     Very reasonable priced hotel...             breakfast very expensive...             Good experience otherwise...             There were dirty dishes in the sinks ...             Overall had a great stay...             was disappointed with the service at breakfast each morning in the dining room....             buffet selection itself was good with plenty of choice....             Comfortable and of a good standard ...             We would be happy to go back ...             Recommended ...             very good buffet breakfast ...             this is a non smoking hotel which should be mentioned on website...             Hotel itself was nice...             weather was poor but the hotel made up for this ...             Excellent hotel with good clean facilities and excellent location...             lovely hotel...
