Hotel is three star but in general offers good value for money. We had no problems during the two separate nights we stayed there. Ideal for the port, gothic cathedral and quarter,the market, but beware pickpocketers and thieves who would steal your bag, camera,etc.

A meal at Los Caracoles restaurant is a must,situated at 14, Escudellers, opposite right of hotel, booking is desirable.

Breakfast not good, and air conditioning in room very noisy, it kept making noises about every half hour for about 2 minutes. Kept waking us up.
Top Tip
At the bottom of Las ramblas, so great location. Need taxi's to and from hotel if heavy baggage.

It was pretty noisy, walls are thin. Ask for a room in back as La Rambla is busy all night long. No English speaking TV stations.

Rossini restaurant in small plaza off La Rambla, very good pizza and pasta.

the receptionist cost us 133 euros by telling us that it was only 30 euros to get a taxi straight to the airport, but infact she didnt ask us which airport we were going to??!!
