Excellent hotel for the price. Would stay again, but would ask for an "inner" room overlooking the atrium. The side rooms are rather noisy. Barcelona never sleeps!
Top Tip
The Tappas Bar next door to the hotel is very good for food, but be prepared to pay £70 for a tappas lunch for four with one bottle of wine.
Pattisserie in the little road running off The Ramblas opposite the hotel is excellent for continental breakfast (2 euros)and the cakes are to die for! Can't remember the name, but its 50 yards down the road on the right.
Fish restaurants in the "olympic village" marina are also very good.
The two-day Tourista bus pass is excellent value for jumping on and off buses which arrive at numerous stops throughout the city every ten minutes.

Excellent hotel but should say there are builders working on it at moment. Rooms a little cold but still loved it.

Except for one person, I found the Reception staff unhelpful and unfriendly.
Hotel clean but in need of modernising.

We were very pleased with this hotel and pleasantly surprised with the standard of the room.

Local restaurants (in Placa Reial across the street from hotel) - La Quinze Nits and La Crema Centrale. Local bar for drink is Schilling (down street that has KFC and McDonalds on corner).

Reasonable location on Las Ramblas, but heading towards the rougher area, and if you get a room on Las Ramblas, well Las Ramblas never sleeps! It is noisy noisy noisy until v late, and starts early again! Plus the trains go under the building, with a rumbling noise!

Extremely well located, rooms very clean and good size. Very reasonable for location and cant really provide fault. We thought it might be quite noisy being on Las Ramblas but as we were on a side street it was very quiet. Also request a room with a balcony. Easy to walk around and lots of great bars and restaurants. If I was going back would defnitely choose same hotel

Because they have check in and out at 12:00 room was not ready, they were helpful, locked our cases away and we were able to go sight seeing. We were asked whether we wanted an inside (quiet) room or outside room with view of Las Ramblas (more noisy)we opted for Las Ramblas with the Spanish atmosphere - great.
All areas of hotel very clean. Breakfast catered for most tastes.
Top Tip
The local market is only about 100 yards away, open every day (not sure about Sunday) from early morning to late afternoon. Colourful with fresh fruit, meat and fish - fruit is prepared for takeaway, take it with you as expensive to eat out. Trains, buses and Metro are very cheap take a good English guide book with you, see as much as possible. You want be disappointed. Most attractions are inexpensive or free.
